We are here to help. We want you to #TrustMax with all of your AC needs so we have created a series of videos with our Installation Manager Migel Pandich to answer some common questions that we have all the time. Maybe it will help you know if you need a repair, or calm some nerves to some odd sounds, McGowan's Heating & Air Conditioning is here to make sure you get your #ACDoneRight.

The question of the day:

What size should my HVAC system be?

Have you ever heard the old rule of thumb that you for every 500 square feet you should have 1 ton of heating & cooling? That information is only partially true. The only true way to determine the size of your HVAC system is to have a properly performed Heat Load Calculation.

A Heat Load Calculation measures:

  • Square Footage
  • Ceiling HeightWindow and Doors Types
  • Lot fit (orientation of the home)
  • Attic and wall insulation
  • and more

If you would like a properly designed heat load calculation done for your home to determine the correct size for your heating and air conditioning system, please free to give us a call at McGowan's Heating & Air Conditioning at (904) 264-COOL(2665)
