McGowan's Heating & Air Conditioning warrants the LABOR to be free from all defects on the equipment and system installed for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of the start-up (fire-off) of the equipment or the date of acceptance of the building.

The equipment PARTS are warranted to be free from all defects per the manufacturer warranty.

The term “defects” shall not be constructed as embracing damage arising from misuse, negligence, acts of God, normal wear and tear, or failure to following operating instructions.

Warranty service is provided during normal working hours Monday through Friday unless deemed as an EMERGENCY situation. The term “emergency” meaning no heat below 65 degrees, or no air above 85 degrees. Warranty service can be provided After hours, Weekends, and Holidays if the customer agrees to pay an additional Overtime Rate.

The following are items that are NOT included in the warranty:

  • Replacement of filters or problems occurring due to dirty filters
  • Cleaning out drain lines
  • Damaged equipment or thermostats
  • Unplugged disconnects

**Any difficulties experience with airflow must be addressed within the first ninety (90) days to qualify for warranty coverage.

Although your system should provide you with years of comfort, even minor components can be expensive to repair. Just one trip from a service technician to diagnose your problem after the first year is a minimum of $99 expense.

Fortunately, McGowan's Heating & Air Conditioning does offer extended warranty customer protection to homeowners. For a comparatively small investment, you can extend full warranty coverage for an additional four years. We also offer 2-10-year warranties for certain systems. If the idea of an extended warranty appeals to your cost-conscience mind, please call our office and ask for the service department for more information and prices.

Please contact our service department at (904) 264-COOL(2665) regarding the warranty. This telephone number is answered 24 hours a day in case of an emergency.
