We are here to help. We want you to #TrustMax with all of your AC needs so we have created a series of videos with our Installation Manager Migel Pandich to answer some common questions that we have all the time. Maybe it will help you know if you need a repair, or calm some nerves to some odd sounds, McGowan's Heating & Air Conditioning is here to make sure you get your #ACDoneRight.

The question of the day:

How often should I change my filter?

We recommend a filter should be checked once a month. A typical 1-inch pleated filter has a life expectancy of 1 to 90 days. Such things as allergies and pets could greatly decrease the life expectancy of that filter. That is why it is very important to check that filter once a month.

One of the most important parts of changing that filter is having the correct filter size. Most often you can find that filter size somewhere on the face of that indoor air handler, but if for some reason you can’t, give us a call and we will be able to find your correct filter size by you just proven us with the correct model number of your system. You even have the ability to purchase filters straight through us via our filter store at McGowansAC.com

When changing your filter if you’re noticing anything out of the ordinary such as a wet filter or a filter that is stuck inside your HVAC system, this could be a larger problem. For any questions or concerns regarding filters don’t be afraid to call us here at McGowan's Heating & Air Conditioning at (904) 264-COOL(2665)
