The question of the day:

What size should my HVAC system be ?

Have you ever heard the old rule of thumb that you for every 500 square feet you should have 1 ton of heating & cooling? That information is only partially true. The only true way to determine the size of your HVAC system is to have a properly performed Heat Load Calculation.

A Heat Load Calculation measures:

  • Square Footage
  • Ceiling Height
  • Window and Doors Types
  • Lot fit (orientation of the home)
  • Attic and wall insulation
  • and more

If you would like a properly designed heat load calculation done for your home to determine the correct size for your heating and air conditioning system, please free to give us a call at McGowan's at 904-264-COOL
